Volunteer Information
Volunteers play a vital role in keeping Oconto Falls Youth Baseball & Softball running smoothly and affordable for our families. Concession stand support helps offset program costs and allows us to continue offering quality youth baseball and softball experiences in our community.
No prior experience is required—training will be provided.
How to Sign Up for Volunteer Shifts
Once you’re logged in to the OFYBS website, go to your Account. From the menu on the left, select Volunteer. This will take you to a page showing all currently available volunteer sessions.
At the top of the page, you’ll see a summary of your volunteer status, including:
- Required shifts • Shifts you’ve committed to • Shifts you’ve completed
Signing Up for a Shift
To sign up for a volunteer shift:
- Select More Information on the volunteer session you’re interested in.
- View the list of available shifts for that session.
- Click the green “+” icon next to the shift you’d like to claim.
- Assign the shift to a user on your account.
Canceling a Shift
If you need to cancel a volunteer shift:
- Select the red “–” icon next to the shift.
- Shifts can only be canceled before the posted cancellation deadline.
- If a shift is no longer eligible for cancellation, a lock icon will be displayed.
Volunteer Requirement
Each registered player requires two (2) concession stand volunteer shifts per season. We rely on support from all OFYBS families to make our program successful.
Head coaches are exempt from concession volunteer shifts for the child they are coaching. If a head coach has more than one child registered in the program, two shifts are still required for one of those players.
Types of Concession Shifts
Volunteer roles may include:
- Openers – setting up the concession stand before games
- Closers – cleaning up and closing the stand after games
- Grill Workers – preparing and serving grilled food
- General Concessions – taking orders, preparing items, and assisting customers
Volunteer Retainer & Buy-Out Option
A $150 volunteer retainer per child is collected during registration. Credit card information will be securely stored and will only be charged at the end of the season if volunteer requirements are not met.
Families who are unable to volunteer may choose a buy-out donation option during registration instead of completing concession shifts.
We appreciate the time and support our families give to help make each season a success!
